Byker Hall provides residential care in Newcastle, where there is plenty in the area to keep us all busy.  All our activities are based on the interests, desires and wishes of our residents. Below are just a few examples. At Byker Hall, we seek to cater to all our residents’ requests, no matter how big or small.

Featured activities:

Light exercise

Our residents are encouraged to join physically stimulating classes such as light exercise. Residents and guests of varying levels of flexibility meet in the lounge or activity areas, with assistants on hand to help provide encouragement and support where required.

Visits from Entertainers

We have regular visits from local musicians and entertainers catering for different tastes.
Teas and cakes are often served while our residents enjoy a sing-a-long! We also have an extensive range of other individual or group activities to make life more enjoyable.

Resident Day Trips

We arrange exciting supervised day trips with all of the transport supplied by us. Our residents often enjoy anything from a pleasant day at the seaside or shopping trips to Newcastle and the Metro Centre. We also arrange visits to the cinema and theatre.

Byker Hall Coming Soon

We are building our own cinema for TV and Sporting Events.

While all residents have television access within the privacy of their own room, our residents often like to make use of a cinema for seeing popular movies or national sporting events etc.  Some of our male residents can enjoy a nice drink watching the local and national football games.

We are always open to suggestions from our residents and their families to arrange other types of activity to suit individual preferences.

We feel that a Care Home should be like a home from home, so choosing the right Care Home with the right facilities is very important. But we do not expect you to take our word for it.

Therefore we would like to invite you to meet our staff and residents and experience for yourself the warm atmosphere, the excellent standards of comfort and the strong companionship.

Call our manager at Byker Hall and arrange a visit to spend some time with us. We will be happy to arrange transport, at no cost, to you or any family members who you may wish to bring with you.

If you wish, we can arrange a trial stay in consultation with the Social Services Department if necessary.
